Ice Hockey Information

Ice hockey, often called just hockey, is a sport played by skating around on ice. It is a very fast paced and extream physical sport where fighting is what fans want to see. Ice hockey is most popular in areas that are sufficiently cold for natural reliable seasonal ice cover like Canada, Northern United States and Russia, the main reason is thought that while the cold makes it easier to have ice to skate on, the cold also slows the profuse bleeding that results when you combine razor sharp skates and angry, agressive men with long sticks.

With with the advent of indoor artificial ice rinks it has become a year-round pastime at the amateur level in major metropolitan areas such as cities that host a National Hockey League (NHL) or other professional-league team. In these venues the first aid kits are always well-stocked and close to the rink and players.

Ice Hocky is one of the four major North American professional sports, including the National Hockey League (NHL), Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), and the Western Women's Hockey League (WWHL) which is the best for angry, agressive women with sticks on razor sharp skates.

Hocky is the official national winter sport of Canada, where the game enjoys immense popularity along with the drinking of massive amounts of beer. Ice cold beer. Only six of the thirty NHL franchises are based in Canada, but Canadian players outnumber Americans in the league.
